Paul Moore – Hollow Inside

May 8, 2016 in Singles

Paul Moore Hollow Inside LucidflowTypically fine deep/dub techno shenanigans here from Klartraum’s Lucidflow label.

In its Original form, Hollow Inside itself is a sparse, minimal-leaning affair with lingering chords, fragments of female vocal and, if I’m not mistaken, some wood-block percussion. S’cool, but label boss Nadja Lind’s tuffer, lightly prog-tinged refix is probably the better bet for dancefloor play.

There are then three more tracks to choose from. Lightflow is a smooth, late-night headnodder with barely-there crowd/party noise and warm synth washes, while Out Of Focus is decent but fairly par-for-the-course stripped, twitchy fare. The standout of the whole EP for yours truly, though, is Evolve, which treads similar ground to Lightflow but turns the dial marked ‘dubwise’ up several notches.

Classy stuff as ever from the German stable.

Paul Moore – Koyote EP

July 25, 2015 in Singles

Pau Moore Koyote LucidflowA pleasingly varied reviews line-up again tonight, kicking off with some very fine deep/dub techno vibes from Lucidflow.

Four tracks in a total of five mixes make up the EP. Koyote itself is quite lively and (deep) house-ified by Lucidflow’s standards. Humble (featuring Little Mouse) opts for a slower, dubbier vibe, amd comes accompanied by a bleepier remix from label bosses Klartraum. Delirium is seven-and-a-half minutes of rolling, dubby beats, sonorous bass and enveloping FX, and then finally Am I plays us out in just slightly bouncier fashion.

I don’t know a label that does this stuff better than Lucidflow; suffice to say they don’t disappoint here.
