Sebastian Davidson – The Movement

Sebastian Davidson The Movement Nightbird MusicWas delighted to hear from Sebastian Davidson this week – haven’t heard from the Nightbird Music boss for a while. Turns out he’s been getting married and stuff. But now he’s getting back in the house saddle, and here’s a six-track mini-LP to prove it!

Quality deep house is what we know Seb for, and he delivers here. But just whizzing through the tracks quickly: Artic Waves [sic] has a tinge of nu-disco/Italo about it, Fkuc Oluy is a dreamy, late-night deep house gem in the classic style, Kwazi Swazi is all shuffling beats, a nagging two-note synth riff and rainforest sounds, The Movement itself is a lazy, hazy instrumental made for very late play, Trippin’ leans towards a tech/tribal vibe and has some great analogue synth sounds, and finally Jökulsárión (credited to Sebastian Davidson & Ferdy) is an 8.5-minute trip into epic, proggy pastures.

Unsurprisingly it’s the first two tracks that I’m feeling the most, but as a statement of intent from a returning producer, this varied package couldn’t be much more appropriate. Oh yeah, and one other thing… it’s FREE! So check it and download it for yourself here.

About: This comes of course on Seb’s own Nightbird Music, who you can find here, here and here.
