Sam Chorlton – Expression

July 17, 2013 in Singles

Sam Chorlton Expression Unrivaled MusicNext up tonight we stay in deep house mode, but move up a gear and towards the dancefloor in the company of Sam Chorlton.

Just the two originals to tell you about. Expression itself is the killer: an unhurried little groover, it’s dominated by New Jersey-style organs for the first two minutes of its life, accompanied by shufflin’ percussion and snatches of crowd noise; then at 2:20 in comes a big rave bassline, but in the most understated way possible. B-side Which Way operates in very similar territory in terms of the soundset (garage-y organs, rave-y bassline, crisp percussion) but is a little more heads-down.

As I said it’s Expression that stands out for yours truly, but to be fair afterhours floors should lap up either track.
