David Devilla & Elisabeth Aivar – Telephone EP

March 26, 2015 in Singles

David Devilla & Elisabeth Aivar Telephone EP Deep ClicksSome extremely fine deep, soulful house grooves to kick us off with tonight courtesy of Spanish label Deep Clicks.

Two tracks in a total of four mixes. Inception is up first, which in its original form is a smooth, deeply chilled affair with pads that go on forever and a soulful vocal – I’m actually not 100% sure whether it’s David getting his falsetto on or Elisabeth pitched down, but it works! My man Jero Nougues then pulls off the near-impossible in taking us even deeper on his dreamy, late-night remix. As for Telephone itself, the Original operates in similar territory to Inception but with a chunkier bassline giving it a lil’ added dancefloor momentum (definitely Elisbeth providing the vox on this one, too), while the accompanying Deephope Remix has lightly Afro-tinged percussion and some lovely understated acid squelch.

Soothing deep house music for weary souls… and, indeed, weary soles.
