Arara – Art In Quadrat

February 22, 2015 in Singles

Arara Art In Quadrat Submarine VibesLast one for tonight, and we stay in uber-deep mode but in a slightly housier kinda way with this latest from Sarajevo’s ever on-point Submarine Vibes.

In its original form, Art In Quadrat has quite tuff, techy beats but otherwise, with its dubby bassline and gently tinkling jazzy ivories, wouldn’t have sounded out of place on Boulevard. Remix-wise, Ki.Mi adds crowd noise and goes for a slightly more laidback and lilting feel, the Powel Remix adds musical warmth in the form of strings and extra layers of piano in a lower register, making this perhaps your best bet for very late-night play, while Sergio Sergi heads in the other direction with a strutty dancefloor mix that nods to vintage soul and funk.

Powel and the original share top honours for me, but whatever mix you choose it’s another winner from Submarine Vibes.
